Some of the duties she performs as an inter-agency employee for the State:
Wetland Forest Management:  I work with environmental groups, and state and federal agencies in the Atchafalaya,
Mermentau, Maurepas, and Pontchartrain Basins, assisting with cypress and bottomland hardwood management, 
with our goal set toward sustainability of these wet forestlands. In addition, as part of my scope of work with the 
Atchafalaya Basin Program, I monitor changes in woody vegetation, within the Atchafalaya Basin, with respect to

Forest Health & Community Assistance:  I make tree calls within a 3 to 4 parish area, helping landowners to identify
insects and diseases in either their yards or their forested lands.
Forest Management:  I work with private landowners who are interested in managing their lands through conducting 
timber harvests, reforestation efforts, or assisting with wildlife habitat restoration and creation. Often, I assist NRCS 
and other federal agencies with their incentive or cost-share programs by overseeing pine and hardwood plantings, and
conducting planting certification and survival counts.
Education:  I work with LFA to promote Project Learning Tree. I work with girlscouts to promote women in natural
resources, and boyscouts in the field to assist them in obtaining Forestry and Wildlife merit badges.
