The Wildlife Society is an international, non-profit scientific and educational organization devoted to all areas of wildlife conservation and resource management.

The principle objectives of the  Wildlife Society are:
 (1)To develop and promote
      sound  stewardship of wild
      life  resources and
      environments upon which
      wildlife and humans depend;
(2) To undertake an active role
      in preventing human-induced
      environmental  degredation;
(3) To increase awareness and
      appreciation of wildlife
      values;
(4) To seek the highest
      standards in all activities of
      the wildlife profession.

Membership in a student chapter of the   Wildlife Society will: introduce you to the diverse roles of wildlife and natural resource professionals; help to cultivate academic, social, and career interests; and assist in building a network of associations with wildlife professionals and fellow students.  Some of our goals as a student chapter are to familiarize our members with management techniques, heighten awareness of important resource issues, and obtain experience through volunteer work or other employment opportunities.  We also want you to gain many lasting friendships and memories along the way!
