Forestry spring camp 2007 was attended by 10 students. This eight –week block of field courses, based at RNR’s Lee Memorial Forest in Washington Parish, is important in the curriculum because it gives the students an opportunity to experience a wider range of ecosystems and field exercises than is possible in afternoon laboratories based at the Baton Rouge campus, and it gives a lot of exposure to some of the professional practice aspects of forestry.
