The mission of the Student Wetland
Society at LSU coincides with the national mission to, "promote
understanding, scientifically based management, and sustainable use
of wetlands." This student organization is affiliated with the South
Central Chapter of the Society of Wetland Scientists. We are
open to all undergraduate and graduate students at LSU who are
interested in wetlands and wetland-related issues.
We generally meet the
first Tuesday of every month at 4:30 pm in room 228 of the Renewable
Natural Resources Building.
Please browse our site for more information about the
Student Wetland Society. Check out the links for
community service opportunities, social events, and
pictures of us having fun in the wetlands!
