Fall of 2006,
students once again
enrolled in Dr. King and Dr. Nyman’s “Management and Restoration
of Wetland Function” course visited numerous natural,
managed, and restored wetlands.
Field trips in that class are based upon on-site discussions with
managers at various wetlands managed by the Louisiana Department of
Wildlife and Fisheries, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and The
Nature Conservancy. A crucial part of that course consists of a
